David J. Yeh MD - Neurosurgeon
Dr. Yeh attended the University of New Orleans as a Patrick Taylor Scholar and graduated with Honors in Violin Performance and Premedical Studies. He completed Medical School and Neurosurgery Residency at the Medical College of Georgia.
As his career developed as in Private Practice, Dr. Yeh became inspired by a philosophy of Patient-First care—treatment foremost guided by the kindest answers to the questions: “if necessary, what Surgery would I want for myself and how would I want that Care delivered.”
While working with the Hattiesburg Clinic—a Multispecialty Physician-Owned Practice in Hattiesburg, MS, Dr. Yeh started the Outpatient Spine Program in 2008 at the Lowry A. Woodall ASC and performed over 500 surgeries with 2 postoperative hospital admissions for pain control.
Dr. Yeh founded Central Coast Neurological Surgery PC (CCNS) in 2014, www.ccnsmed.com, a group collaboration in San Luis Obispo (SLO) including Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, Interventional Neurology/Pain Management, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurophysiology, and Neuropsychology specialties. Dr. Yeh started the Outpatient Spine Program at the SLO Surgery Center in 2018 and has performed over 800 surgeries with 2 postoperative admissions for cardiac management.
From 2018 to the present Dr. Yeh introduced to SLO County the CoFLEX/CoFIX intralaminar stabilization devices as alternatives to fusion and pedicle screw/rods for the treatment of lumbar stenosis and instability, to date performing over 850 interlaminar implants. He is a champion for motion preservation spine surgery and serves as the Director of Spine Surgical Services at French Hospital Medical Center.
In 2024, Dr. Yeh started CCNS outreach in conjunction with Dr Scott Dulebohn at Guam Regional Medical City bringing novel spine surgery techniques to the Territory of Guam.
Dr. Yeh is devoted to Philanthropy and actively supports Classical Music and Medical and Visual Arts through his Aloha Piano Quartet Nonprofit Foundation www.theapq.com.
Shawn G. Dunn MD - Neurology & Pain Medicine
Dr. Shawn G. Dunn is an established and highly skilled physician with over twenty years’ experience in medicine and private practice. He earned his medical degree at St. George’s University where he was chosen Clinical Director-Student Body President. He served as Chief Resident and completed a residency in Neurology at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Dunn completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia where he had the honor of being the first ACGME-accredited Neurology-based fellow in the United States.
He is multi-board certified by the American Board of Physiatry and Neurology in Neurology and Pain Medicine. Additionally, he is multi-board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Neurology and Pain Medicine.
Over his career Dr. Dunn has performed over 30,000 interventional procedures. He has earned numerous accolades for his quality and patient-centered care. Earning the Berlex Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award, American Pain Society Resident Scholarship Award, Medical College of Georgia Excellence in Teaching Award, the Trinity Mother Frances Hospital and Clinics Patient Safety Award, and the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Clinician Education Award.
Dr. Dunn is Chairman of the Comprehensive Department of Pain Medicine for CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Clinics and Hospitals Northeast Texas and past Institute Chair of Neurosciences. He serves the population of San Luis Obispo, California, as a part-time practicing physician with Central Coast Neurological Surgery, PC. Dr. Dunn’s clinical passion is driven by building relationships with his patients and improving their quality of life and concomitantly the quality of life for their families.
Dr. Dunn is a passionate philanthropist and educator supporting the Arts and medicine. In his free time he is an experienced sailor and a master scuba diver with over 2000 dives.
Justin R. Keadle MS | PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant
Mr. Keadle graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science and a Masters of Physician Assistant degree from Massachussetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester. He has co-authored multiple publications and has been active as a research coordinator for multiple clinical trials. He has worked as a Physician Assistant for internal medicine, general surgery, and neurological surgery for over 10 years and is a specialist in assisting with all phases of minimally invasive spine surgery.
Duong (Dee) Tran RN | MSN | AGNP-C - Certified Nurse Practitioner
Ms. Tran graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in Systems Management. She received her Associates of Science Degree in Nursing from Cuesta College and her Masters of Science degree in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. Ms. Tran has extensive experience as a medical-surgical nurse in acute care hospital setting, and transitioned to a primary care and neurosurgical Nurse Practitioner specializing in the treatment of degenerative disease of the spine. She has current experience as a perioperative circulating and recovery nurse and First Assistant in surgery. She has been active in developing programs for community health including coronavirus vaccination and currently works as lead CCNS research coordinator for the Spine Biopharma SB-01 Phase 3 MODEL Study (Moderate – Severe Degenerative Disc Disease Evaluation of the Lumbar Spine)-- the first intradiscal pharmacologic treatment to enter Phase 3 studies for the treatment of pain-related disability, associated with degenerative disk disease.
